possibly ones that don't involve baking or grillingDoes anyone know any quick and easy recipes that are high in iron and energy?
Green smoothies!
Baby spinach: Delicious; iron rich (as well as HEAPS of other nutrients) and just good for you!
Kiwifruit: Really high in vitamin C (aids iron absorption).
Banana: Gives a nice creamy consistency to the smoothie.
Water.
It's yummy and nutritious!Does anyone know any quick and easy recipes that are high in iron and energy?
Energy: anything uncooked.
Iron: handful of sesame seeds. 1oz of beef has 3% of your daily value of iron, but 1oz of sesame seeds has a whopping 27% of your daily value of iron.
Combine the two and you're set. For example, try a sandwich full of yummy raw veggies and add sesame seeds to the spread. Get more iron in by using spinach instead of lettuce.
This quinoa risotto has protein from the quinoa and salmon, with iron from kale, and a bit of fat from olive oil.
